When you are submitting your
own digital image file, it should have a resolution of between 240-360
dpi and should match the overall output size that you will
be requesting for printing.
For example if you
want a 17 x 22 inch print, your image should be in the
range of 5000 x 6600 pixels. We can accept most image
types but prefer TIFF, PSD or other loss less file
types. If your original image file is smaller than your
requested print size, please do not perform the
interpolation before sending to us. We have software
that will perform the re-size interpolation with little
to no
image degradation/pixelation providing the resizing is
within 800% of the original. There is no charge for
this service.
We do accept images
that are smaller than the final output size, but you need to be
aware than the print will be of a lesser quality than if you
adhere to the guidelines above.
No additional color
correction will be performed on the image(s). Color
profiling to printer and paper will be matched based on
embedded color profile. (i.e. They will be printed as
is.) If you are assigning a color profile with the
image please use Adobe RGB (1998). Do not use sRGB as
it has a smaller color gamut.
The following guide can aid in
showing you what size of print and quality you can expect
from your digital camera image. Quality of image (i.e.
focus, image blur, jpg artifacts) will also affect printed
output

Final print note:
It
is important to note that in certain instances the print
we create for you may not match the colors that you see in
your image on your monitor. If you have not
calibrated your monitor the colors you see in your photo
may differ than what gets printed. Calibrating your
monitor and following the steps in the checklist will help
in allowing you to visualize what your final print colors
will look like. You also need to be aware that some
colors may fall outside of the gamut the printer, inks and
media can produce. If we see that the image you
submitted has significant color gamut issues we will
contact you to discuss. We may suggest that you
order a proof to so that you can preview and approve the
print before making your final order.
